so as this channels been growing I've been getting a lot of questions from people asking what is the best way to get their first sale on Fiverr I put on a lot of videos on this channel that helps you know new Fiverr sellers or experienced by resellers become better on the platform and make more money but for a lot of people getting those first one or two orders and those first one or two five-star ratings are the hardest so in this video I'm going to talk about some things I think you can do to help you get your first order on Fiverr in 2020 so let's get into it so the first thing you need to do is make sure your gig is polished sexy and ready to sell now more than ever with köppen 19 in this global pandemic there's a lot of people turning to Fiverr up work and other freelancing platforms as a way to make money either because they've lost their jobs you know they're having trouble paying the bills or they just have more time on their hands to start a side hustle so now more than ever there's a lot of new competition flooding sites like Fiverr now it's not the end of the world but you do need to be aware of that and one of the things you can do to stay ahead of that new competition is to make sure that your gig is polished you need to stand out from the pack you need new buyers to come across your gig and say hey this person looks like they know what they're doing hey this person put a lot of effort into making sure their gig photo you know they picked a good subject line they got a great profile picture and your description is full of information that talks about you your services and why they should hire you so if you look if you're looking at your gig right now and you think there's room to improve or you notice a couple typos in your gig photo that you've just never gotten around to fixing now is the time if you want to get orders on five hundred twenty twenty your gig needs to look awesome I have a bunch of other videos on this channel that talk about things you can do to make your gig look awesome both from you know a visual perspective and also from the perspective of looking awesome in fivers eyes with regards to SEO ranking highly and fiber search and actually getting noticed so I'll put links to those videos on the screen here and in the description make sure you check them out so step one make sure your gig is polished beautiful and ready to go that's really gonna help in 2020 so the second thing you can do to speed up the amount of time it's gonna take for you to get your first view orders on Fiverr and 2020 is to figure out what your secret sauce is what do I mean by that so what up whatever services you're selling on Fiverr whether you're a copywriter like me a graphic designer a translator you know a logo maker whatever you're doing odds are there's a lot of other people doing what you're doing so well your secret sauce is that thing that you put front and center on your gigs in your profile you know in your photos that help differentiate you from the pack now I can't tell you what your secret sauce is you know it could be a special skill you've had or maybe you have very specific niche experience in your industry you know if you're a graphic designer maybe you worked for a Cartoon Network or a television series designing stuff for that and you know your all-time career or past life whatever it might be that can make you look just a little bit different from other sellers on Fiverr you need to figure what that is and put it front and center put it everywhere put it on your profile in your gig photos in your gig description everywhere you need to be really hitting that hard because there might be a lot of buyers where that is the one thing that pushes them to buy from you versus someone else so figure out what your secret sauce is it can be past experience it can be really anything something about your personality that makes you awesome to work with it can be the value you can offer our buyers in specific situations or on specific projects that you have past experience it whatever it is figure out what it is focus on it find a way to put it into you know words you know into a quick sentence or two that you can including your gig and hammer that home having a secret sauce having a value add that other sellers don't also have is gonna help you differentiate just differentiate yourself from the pack and get that first order in 2020 so
the second thing is your secret sauce figure it out and put it everywhere so the third thing that you can do to help speed up and get your first order on Fiverr and 2020 is your gig needs to be $5 plain and simple I've said this a lot in other a hammer this point home but if you're a new fiber seller if you're new to the platform if you're just starting freelancing and you're offering your services for sale the biggest thing that you're the reason you're watching this video is because you want to gain traction fast the easiest thing you can do to help buyers make the decision of working with a new seller like yourself is to make your gig as cheap as possible don't look at it like you're losing money or you're undervaluing their services look at it as an investment in your fiber business by offering your services at a heavy discount in the early days $5 which is the minimum you can charge on fiber you are investing this is your marketing budget this is your you know your your brand building budget by offering your first 5 10 15 years for five dollars you're helping get yourself out there you know when you get those orders do your absolute best to crush it on those orders and then you'll get 5-star ratings and then as you start accumulating these ratings you can up your price as to what you think is fair based on your skills but in the early days if you want to speed up the amount of time it's gonna take to get your first order in 2020 your gate needs to be $5 plain and simple so the fourth thing you can do to get your first order fast in 2020 is to be honest now what do I mean by this so if you're a new seller on Fiverr you know you've created your gig you've watched all my videos about how to optimize for SEO build great gig photos and write a great gig description you know you're pretty much ready to sell but after you've posted that gig you also want to be you know pushing your gig to potential buyers off the fibre platform whether that be you know advertising paid advertising putting it into Facebook groups you know actually prospecting and sending emails to you know target companies that you think you'd be a great fit for whatever it might be when you're reaching out to people in this way you know doing your own prospecting you know really pounding the pavement and trying to speed up the amount of time it's gonna take me to get that first order the most important thing you can do in these interactions with potential buyers is to be honest let them know what you're doing let them know that you've just started this freelancing business of yours and let them know that you have past experience and that you know honestly between you and them you're charging your cert you're pricing your services at a heavy discount to help get your business off the ground people will appreciate the honesty you know if you're a business owner and a freelancer is reaching out to you you're gonna respect the person who's being honest about why their prices are so low and what they're doing you know advertising their services that they're offering on this five-hour platform more than someone who is lying about having all this experience isn't really able to justify any of it or validate it and really just trying to hustle you so I know that a lot of fiber sellers take the path of beingnaggressive saying yes to everything that a prospect asks for yes yes yes yes I can do this I can do that I have experience I can do this I can do that sometimes you know especially as a new seller it's gonna be beneficial to you to just be honest let them know you're a new seller you know if they ask you something or ask you if you could do a project that you've never done before be honest with them say hey you know I haven't done that specifically but I've experienced doing this this this and this and then also be honest about why your fee is so low right now just tell them I'm starting out I work in a world where it's ultra competitive so to help build traction for myself I'm offering my services at the discount and I think you'd be a great fit and a great customer to work for you know for me to deliver great work to you and then in turn I'd love it if you you know reflected on your experience working with me in the form of a review that accurately reflects your experience people appreciate that so the first thing you can do is just be honestwhether you're advertising off the platform you know whether you're emailing people your gig or you're prospecting yourself you know let them know why you're doing this you
